The Porsche Cayenne is a mid-size sport utility vehicle which was sold from the beginning of 2003. It has five seats and has a V8 engine. Worldwide sales of the Cayenne are very high and have doubled initial sales targets. This helped Porsche pay down its debts and make $2.1 billion cash.

The 2008 models have been called ‘second generation’ but apart from a face lift not much has changed. The turbo engines have gone from 4.5 to 4.8 and the fuel efficiency is now 6 Km/L City and 8.5 Km/L Motorway (Base Model). A tire pressure monitoring system has been added to all models.
